| ● About: |
Eden was my teams (Green Tree Studios) entry for the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2010. It was developed using XNA Game Studio 3.1 and took me approximately 5 weeks to write. I was responsible for most of the coding (3D engine, shaders, gameplay logic, physics, interface, sound, level editor) and also worked on designing the game and levels themselves. Eden features many unique gameplay elements such as a completely dynamic forest and pollution system. |
| ● Sales Pitch: |
You are the captain of a new experimental vessel called Eden. Your job? Fight back pollution and save this once pristine island group from impending environmental disaster! Try to restore the natural beauty of these islands by converting factories into environmentally friendly workplaces and filtering the polluted air around them.
But not all is as simple as it sounds: remnants of airships block your way to the towering chimneys. Your ship also needs a steady supply of water and light, so that plants inside its bio-dome can survive. Flying through polluted air will block sunlight, and finding fresh water on these islands is not always an easy task. You'll have to learn how to use the natural elements to your advantage, in order to bring this challenge to a successful end! |
